Outdoor Support · Mentoring · Dorset
At Open Ground Dorset, we create space for people to slow down, reconnect and learn through real experiences in natural environments — for young people struggling within traditional systems, overwhelmed families needing space to reset, and individuals searching for something more grounded.
We support schools, local authorities, families and individuals who are struggling within traditional systems or looking for a more grounded, practical approach — through mentoring, family support, alternative provision, practical learning, creative workshops and nature-based experiences across Dorset.

Who We Are
Open Ground Dorset was created to offer something different. We combine outdoor learning, mentoring, practical skills and therapeutic support to help young people and families reconnect, regulate and rebuild confidence away from clinical environments and pressure-heavy systems.
As a small family-run team with lived experience, we understand the challenges people face and believe meaningful growth happens through flexibility, genuine connection and supportive environments.
